CheapRoute ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are

2. Data we collect

Location data — when you use the local station search or route planning features, the app requests your device location to show nearby fuel stations. This data is processed on-device and sent to our server only to perform the search. We do not store your location history.

Route data — when you enter a start and destination, this is sent to our server to calculate your route and find stations along it. We do not link this to your identity or retain it after your session.

Purchase data — in-app purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat. We receive anonymised purchase confirmation to grant route credits. We do not see your payment details.

Crash and diagnostic data — if the app crashes, Apple may send anonymised diagnostic data to us through standard App Store mechanisms. This does not include personal data.

3. Data we do NOT collect

• We do not require you to create an account
• We do not track you across other apps or websites
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not store your search history
• We do not use advertising trackers

4. Third-party services

TomTom — we use the TomTom API to calculate routes. Your start and destination are sent to TomTom's servers to perform routing. TomTom's privacy policy applies: tomtom.com/privacy.

RevenueCat — manages in-app purchase validation. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies: revenuecat.com/privacy.

Apple App Store — purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.

5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

We process location and route data on the legal basis of contract performance — it is necessary to provide the service you requested. We do not process data for marketing without your explicit consent.

6. Data retention

Location and route queries are not stored beyond the duration of your session. Purchase records are retained by RevenueCat and Apple according to their own policies. We do not maintain a database of user activity.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

As a user in the EU, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to processing
• Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

8. Children's privacy

CheapRoute is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the App Store update notes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
